Request through the WhatsApp App for a temporary ban

Follow the below-mentioned steps if your WhatsApp Business account is temporarily banned:

Step 1: Open WhatsApp Business

Open the WhatsApp Business app on your device.

Step 2: Check for ban notification

If your number is banned, you’ll likely receive a notification within the app after entering your number.

Step 3: Find the appeal option

Look for an option labeled “Support”. This might be located within the notification itself.

Step 4: Tap on the support option

Once you’ve located the support option, tap on it to proceed.

Step 5: Provide an explanation

A text box will appear where you can explain why you believe the ban is unjustified and you can add screenshots also. Be clear, concise, and polite in your explanation.

Step 2: Enter the recipient’s email address

In the recipient field, enter the email address properly for WhatsApp Business support: businesscomplaints@support.whatsapp.com 

Step 3: Subject line

Clearly write your issue in the subject line like “Appeal for WhatsApp Business banned account - [Your phone number including the country code].

Step 4: Email body

  • Politely explain the situation in the email body.
  • Mention that your WhatsApp Business account has been banned and you believe it’s a mistake.
